Our Beliefs

We are not affiliated with any denominational body (we are a non-denominational congregation). Below is our statement of faith as well as a button to view and download our Constitution & By-Laws:

A.  We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as inspired by God;(1) inerrant in the original writings;(2) and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.(3)

B.  We believe in one God,(4) eternally existing in three persons(5)-Father, Son(6), and Holy Spirit.(7)

C.  We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God(8) and fully man.(9)  We believe Jesus was born of a virgin(10) and lived a sinless life.(11)

D.  We believe that man was created in the image of God(12); that he sinned(13), and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God;(14) that all human beings are born with a sinful nature,(15) causing them to sin in thought, word, and deed and bringing them under the condemnation of God.(16)

E. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice;(17) and that all who believe(18) in Him are justified(19) solely on the ground of His shed blood.(20)

F. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus,(21) in His ascension into Heaven,(22) and in His present ministry there for us as High Priest(23) and Advocate.(24)

G.  We believe in a future physical return of Jesus Christ(25).

H.  We believe that all who trust the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, God's provision for sin, are born again of the Holy Spirit,(26) and thereby become children of God.(27)  We believe that the Holy Spirit baptizes every believer once, at the moment of conversion, and indwells him thereafter.(28)  We believe the Holy Spirit enables each believer for service.(29)  We believe that each believer is filled with the Holy Spirit as he yields control of his life to Christ.(30)  We believe the evidence of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit in the believer’s life demonstrated by living which pleases God.(31)

I.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both believers and unbelievers,(32) the everlasting blessing of all who have trusted Christ as Savior(33) and the everlasting, conscious punishment of all who have not.(34)

J. We Believe that the purpose of the Church, the universal body comprised of all believers and its expression in individual congregations, is evangelism and discipleship.(35)
